Meet Jen
Hi!
I’m Jennifer, known as Jen, and I’m the local dog walker, local dog sitter and massive dog lover from Hither Green, who provides dog walking and dog sitting services in the areas of Hither Green, Ladywell and Catford in South East London.
I am the founder of PawsitiveWalks and, as a one-person business, I provide all PawsitiveWalks services with enthusiasm, care and delight.
If you are a local dog owner, you may know or recognise me from Mountsfield Park, where I walk my dog Yuki, the Westie, every day. And if you do see me, feel free to say hi!
when I decided to create PawsitiveWalks
This year (2017) I had been thinking hard about becoming a dog walker (Where do I even begin with something like that? How does it work? What insurances are required? What type of business do I need to register to HMRC? and so on….) After a lot of research and speaking with other local dog walkers, I’ve decided to give it my 100% and step away from the hustle and bustle of city life (after 23 years working in Central London) to become a dog walker and dog sitter, and the reason for it is my adorable Yuki. Every day, was a struggle for me to leave Yuki at home alone for hours, while at work. Although Yuki was fine with it, being able to sleep, relax and play with ease, I just couldn’t bare thinking that Yuki was constantly alone and waiting for my return.
That’s when I decided to leave my current job, after 7 years working at Tommy Hilfiger UK Head Office in Knightsbridge as a Key Account Specialist within the Wholesale Operations department, to become the trustworthy local dog walker and dog sitter.

my values and love for dogs
You can be rest assured that your dog will be treated with the love and care that you show them on a daily basis. I love my gorgeous Yuki to bits and wish only the best for her at all times.
It’s not just PawsitiveWalks business values, but also my own, to treat all dogs as my own pets - with the same kindness, love, attention and care I give to Yuki, and to respect your home as I like others to respect mine.

My goal for PawsitiveWalks, is to provide an honest, reliable, trustworthy, fun, caring and energetic service to all doggies. To give their owners the peace of mind that their furry friends are in the best hands – kept safe and being loved when they are not around. To be the source of good experiences and teachings that will bring your dog the confidence and balance to the best dog it can be, and hopefully, to make your lives together a happier and healthier one.
dogs taught me that
As an experienced dog owner, I came to understand that a balanced and happy dog is the best you could ever wish for. And it is hard work to train your pooch to understand our confusing world and its demands. But, with positive reinforcement training and persistence (repeat, repeat, repeat), you will see the changes before your eyes – your dog will become much more confident, relaxed and happy. And a balanced dog will allow you both to enjoy a much happier life. Hence the reason why I practice basic positive training in all the services provided.
charity work
For quite some time now, I am actively involved with many animal charities, in and out our local community, in supporting their on-going welfare. Such as sponsoring adorable dog puppies for the “Guide Dogs” - ‘Goldie’ and ‘Joy’, two gorgeous golden Labradors.
